# Plans & Premium

Ticketr is free to use, with optional paid tiers for servers that want more headroom. Upgrades are bought per guild and unlock higher limits plus a few extra customisation options.

## The free tier

The **Free** tier includes everything Ticketr does such as unlimited tickets, unlimited users, custom fields, close reasons, the web dashboard, and more with these limits:

* **7** ticket categories
* **2** panels
* **60-day** transcript retention

## How limits are enforced

Limits are enforced when you create a new category or panel:

* If you reach your category limit, Ticketr refuses to create another category until you remove one or upgrade.
* If you reach your panel limit, the dashboard won't let you deploy another panel.

If your subscription ends or you cancel, your guild returns to **Free** limits. Existing categories and panels remain, but you won't be able to add new ones past the free caps.

## How to upgrade

Upgrades are purchased through the **Discord App Store** on Ticketr's bot page. You can find the store pages on the [pricing page of the dashboard](https://ticketr.forwynn.net/pricing) or directly through the bot's Discord profile.

Once the subscription is active, Ticketr detects the entitlement automatically (usually within a minute) and your new limits and perks apply immediately.
